My review for In Her Bones by Kate Moretti

A thrilling story filled with twist and turns. Can the actions of your parents lead you to the same path they took? Edie is the daughter of a serial killer. She runs obsesses with the surviving children of the victims her mom killed. Can daughter turn out to be just like mother? Of course Edie doesn't call her mom, but Lillith Wade is how she calls her throughout the book. I think calling her by her name and not her mother she can feel like a victim and not part of her family. Moretti brought us a book which tells us a serial killers story through the voice of her daughter. You get to see how obsessed she has become and how she has some of her mother’s tendency. The story had some great characters. At time I felt it was lacking the thrill and suspense when reading a thriller. The ending wasn't so impactful. Overall, we had a story with a messed up family with psychological issues that made them obsessed with the people who surrounded them, having them commit crimes to keep their family ties. I rated 4 out 5 stars.
