My Review for Our House

Updated: Aug 15, 2018

Imagine arriving to your home to only find out it isn't yours anymore and someone is moving in. Well that is the surprise in a lifetime that Fiona encounters. Deceit, desperation, guilt and fear left Bram with no way out due to his road rage that caused an accident. Bram’s character was very weak. Anyone could manipulate him with fear of having to go to jail for his acts. His father’s past seems to follow him in the present. He has followed in his father’s footsteps. Fiona was also another character that had weaknesses, but at the end she was able to do an act incapable of doing if it was the beginning of the story. Heartbreak and deceit can truly push your buttons. When I read the first chapter I was shocked and confused like Fiona. Then the book is told like a documentary. She would tell her piece while Bram would be speaking through word documents. Life can truly change in the snap of a finger. It can be for the good or for the bad. Decisions you make sometimes cannot be changed. I rated 4 out of 5 stars.
